Fill in the blank! Is there someone on your guest list you wish you didn't have to invite? A family friend your parents added or an obligatory invite you felt you had to extend? Who would you cut from your guest list if you could??

I am actually happy with my whole 22 guests I invited. They must be special because I have an enormous family. My mom has 10 siblings who all have their own kids, my brother has 9 children of his own, my sister has 8.....it's just insanity over there.

Most of my fiancé’s family. Some he hasn’t even talked to for years, there’s a ton of family drama and somehow they just have to be there. I’m losing my mind...and hard-earned money. I’m not looking forward to organizing seating (or paying for my future FIL’s drinking habit!)

Yep. My mom is not invited, and FMIL is seated at the head table! My mom and I have been estranged for many years, and I am thankful to be inheriting a motherly figure!

Do what you feel is the right choice for your situation. Good luck!

People who cause drama in the immediate family. I just might not anyway.

No one ! Anyone I felt this way about didn't get invited. It's too much stress to worry about the "obligation invites" so we ditched it.

I don't want to invite my stepdad. Not the same situation but similar. He's not a good person and we do not get along at all. He was extremely rude and disrespectful to me in the past so my fiance absolutely hates him. However if we don't invite him then my mom won't go either..might not be the worst thing but I think I'll regret not having her there. I also feel that my FMIL and my stepmom are more like mothers to me than my own so I get that.

My mum.. we aren't sending out invitations for awhile but I dread making the decision of whether to give her an invite or not. We just aren't close and my FH's mum feels more like a mother figure and supportive to me. Anyone in the same boat or been through it? Would love advice about what to do

A particular guest to make my parents happy, as well as a friend's boyfriend because she could've just been my other friend's (her best friend) date. I've never met her boyfriend and our mutual friend said he's a mansplainer. Yuck.

A particular cousin. I’ve never wanted to invite him but opted to skip the drama that would come if I didn’t. Turns out he’s making the trip out for just the wedding and not the welcome dinner, which I think is kind of pointless and I’d personally rather he just didn’t come but...meh. C’est la vie.

We didn't invite his estranged sisters, at first we had them on the list but we needed to cut our list down for numbers and his mom said don't invite them, plain and simple i guess? We'll see what happens when they don't get an invite.

Honestly there’s four people on the list on my fiancé’s side that we really don’t see the reason for them to be there. We think two of them are going to be in Mexico so they might be gone but we’ll see

A certain aunt that won't end up coming, she hasn't been to a family event in so many years but inviting her in order to not start any feuds.

Also my mom's cousin, they are super close but I only met them a handful of times. They are already excited about coming though so can't uninvite lol

Oh man. I wish we didn't have to invite people who we don't see regularly. Those cousins that you only see at Christmas if that.

I wish we didn’t have to invite my FHs BILs family. Can you explain that one to me?! We don’t even like them because of how rude they are to us. At family functions when they are there we say hello and they don’t acknowledge us for the rest of the evening. I’ve been told the expectation is to invite them or it’s rude...

There's no one really that I wish I didn't have to invite. Maybe some of my FH's friends from back home, only because we already knew they wouldn't come (it was more for the gesture) yet we STILL haven't received their RSVP's back and the deadline is 2 weeks...
