We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding at this location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My only thing was our special request for a certain alcohol to be at the bar for my husband and it wasn't. He was very disappointed about this. Also we had to ask to have the outside cleaned up before the wedding as it needed a little TLC. But food was amazing and the price is fantastic!

I was able to have the wedding of my dreams, and keep my budget in check!. The venue is just absolutely gorgeous with a stone fireplace, old stone walls, floor to ceiling arch windows, cast iron chandeliers, rich wood tables and chairs...just a perfect combination.

Very little decoration was needed, I opted out of tableclothes (except decorative tables and head table with skirt) as the tables were naturally beautiful. The location is on the Ottawa river, in the city and there is gorgeous landscaping and patio in the back for wedding photos on location. We hired a DJ to dance the night away, they provided a dance floor and even allowed us to open a second bar for the non-dancers in a pub downstairs with quieter music.

They changed chefs from the time we had our food tasting to the time we had our ceremony and didn't tell us, I was a little dissapointed in that as the food presentation changed. Everyone still loved the food, only my husband and I knew the difference. The rooms were okay, moderately priced for Ottawa, but I expected a little more. Oh well, the ceremony and reception was fantastic!!

Overall, great experience, great service, no post-party clean up and free brunch the next morning!

The Resort is a hidden gem in Ottawa. If you are looking for a venue that offers the complete wedding on site without any travel this is the place. The staff is friendly and do whatever they can to help make your day perfect.

We knew the first time we seen The Monterey Inn on the internet that was going to be the place where we would have our wedding. The wedding coordinator was very helpful/knowledgeable with everything regarding questions and requests, she really made it easy.

The staff surpassed our expectations. They were all very professional, accommodating, friendly and easy to approach.

We loved everything that the Monterey Inn has to offer.

The brunch is very well prepared as well. We returned for a brunch three months later and the staff remembered us. It was very touching.

Our day was absolutely fantastic, we got only positive feedback from everyone, the food was exquisite and the accommodations made it easy for out of town guests.

The ceremony/reception was perfect and the happiest day our lives! We loved everything about our special day.

We would 100% recommend the Monterey Inn to anybody getting married or for any celebration/event.

The Monterey Inn was a beautiful location. It has a classic look that is both effortless and breath taking The food and selections were fabulous and unbelievably reasonable. Our Event Planner was helpful and so accommodating. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

You only get hitched once. But we may do it again...just somewher else

I really don't want to go into detail. It's way too long and involved. Suffice it to say that we will never be directing business their way again. That's all.
