  Sofitel wedding venue

  We celebrated our wedding at the Sofitel. In the end, overall, our wedding went fine thanks to Banquet manager Patrick that did everything he could do to fix some of the issues we had because of our event coordinator Mikael that was incompetent.
  - No hotel room was available when we were told that it was booked. They made us wait to tell us in the end that no one was aware, and our coordinator was not reachable. We had to change in the bathroom for my wedding ceremony. I arrived completely stressed because I was late for the ceremony.
  - The names on the menu were someone else's names.
  - The communication was terrible: one day he said something, the other something else. I ended up communicating by email, but he does not know how to read / write.
  - He was not even present on the wedding day.
  And the list could continue, but I think you got the idea. If you are planning an event there and you get Mikael as coordinator: RUN! All the other people I dealt with there were perfectly professional though.

  Can't wait to go back

  The Sofitel is such a beautiful hotel. Bruno was our event coordinator and he really went above and beyond to make sure the venue was to our liking. The suite that was included for the night of the wedding was amazing as well.

  Highly recommend the Sofitel Golden Mile!

  Elegant location and banquet rooms. All the staff were very professional and helpful and very responsive. Our emails were answered quickly, which made the whole experience of wedding planning very pleasant. The hotel is flexible about food choices, making some changes as requested and accommodating food allergies. Our guests commented on how good the food was for the reception. The brunch was amazing. The staff made the wedding day (nearly!) stress-free by organizing things to our specifications and were available to help us transition from activities. We highly recommend the Sofitel Golden Mile as a wedding venue!
