Galt Country Club is a wedding venue located in Cambridge, Ontario and is one of the most historic golf courses in the Waterloo Region. Nestled along the banks of the Grand River, on a picturesque 18-hole golf course with pristine greens and a multitude of mature trees, it is a photographer’s delight. The facilities found at this banquet hall venue include an outdoor ceremony location overlooking the historic golf course and the Grand River. A modern ballroom with wall-to-wall windows is where receptions for up to 175 seated guests may be held. Amazing venue
This venue is gorgeous and Suzanne was fantastic. The venue looked gorgeous when all was said and done (it's beautiful with no decor but the decor made it feel unique to us) and Suzanne always answered my emails in a timely fashion. We also had an indoor ceremony and the room was flipped impressively fast. I cannot say enough good things, the price included an open bar and they all went above and beyond the call of duty for everything. Have your wedding here it is a magical place with food that's to die for, guests have been messaging me for days raving about it. 10/10 would get married here a hundred times if necessary

Fantastic!
For our wedding we worked with Suzanne at the galt country club and we can’t recommend her enough. She put up with so many questions and emails and phone calls from me in the weeks leading up to our big day. Everything ran so smoothly and we were so thankful to have Suzanne there. She even looked like she was having fun and not just ‘working!’ The food was amazing, the venue was beautiful, the outdoor ceremony space was so nice and the service staff were great as well. We had no complaints about our day at all!! We would definitely recommend GCC!

Absolutely Amazing!
We just had our wedding at GCC, and it was better than I could have ever imagined! The staff were incredible and helped us so much through the day, and made everything go so smooth. But a huge thank you goes to Suzanne, for making the wedding planning so simple and had everything run like clock work that day. You took the stress away and let us enjoy the moments that we'll remember for the rest of our lives. The grounds were stunning and the outdoor ceremony was just so beautiful. All the guests were raving about how beautiful everything was. Can't thank you enough for making our special day possible!

Great beautiful venue
This venue is a beautiful place to host a wedding and the pricing is just right! We were so excited for all the little perks the GCC staff were going to do for us leading up to the wedding and thought we were so lucky to have found such a supportive venue. The tasting was beyond delicious and the staff were so kind! Unfortunately our promised perks stopped there. There was a bit of miscommunication on what we needed to pay for outside of the wedding itself (lunch for the bridesmaids, etc.) as the way the coordinator made it sound at the initial meeting, this was to be included in our quote price. We were also told we would have a lot more support during the day than what we actually got. The event coordinator made promises to us that didn’t end up happening (getting driven back into the golf course for photos and getting some of the appetizers packaged up for us to snack on during photos). The event coordinator also told us initially that she could set up a lot of the stuff. Although I did a lot of the set up myself, she did not offer to help me during the time and instead was using my time to show the room to other couples. I would be okay with this if I was still getting the support I needed. There were also things that she told me on the day of that she would do for me that never got done (handing out the boutinieres and bouquets, setting things out between the transition of the ceremony and the reception - all our favours weren’t set out and now we’re stuck with a significant amount of left overs). The venue was beautiful and the day was amazing, however, I felt that on the day, our coordinator’s mind was elsewhere. The coordinator is so kind and was very supportive leading up the the day, but like I said, I felt like her mind was elsewhere.

Wonderful venue
Despite our wedding being in the pandemic, Suzanne and the GCC team were so wonderful to work with. They were flexible while still following the rules and keeping everyone safe. The club is absolutely gorgeous and our ceremony and picture locations were beautiful. Food was delicious and they even let us do take out when we couldn't have a reception during lockdown. Highly recommend this venue.

Perfect Day
We were married at GCC on October 23, 2021. Our original venue wouldn't accommodate us with a new date when we had to postpone from 2020, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we could not be happier with how our wedding day went.
During the planning process, Suzanne was beyond responsive and answered all of my very many very specific questions. The rehearsal dinner was great for getting an idea of how the day would go, and the food was fantastic.
On the day of, the room for getting ready was made available as early as we needed it, and Suzanne checked in on us regularly to answer questions, and bring us drinks and lunch. At no point during the day did I feel like I had to stress about any details and everyone was incredibly accommodating to small last minute tweaks and answering questions throughout the day.
The ceremony area and the reception hall are both absolutely beautiful spaces. We heard from many guests how much they loved the venue, but most of all everyone raved about the incredible food.
I can't say enough good things about the experience and if we could do it all over again we would have booked GCC to begin with. Stunning venue, amazing food, and unbeatable service from Suzanne and the rest of the team at GCC.

Phenomenal
I can't even fully put into words how amazing my experience was with the GCC. Suzanne and the staff went above and beyond to make both the rehearsal dinner and my wedding day perfect! There isn't a single thing I would have changed or done differently even during COVID. Suzanne you made the whole day run so smoothly that I wasn't stressed out or worried at all the entire day and for that I thank you. It allowed me to fully enjoy the day without worrying about anything. I would highly recommend this venue from the great location, to friendly staff and amazing food, you can't go wrong!!

Beautiful covid wedding
This venue was beautiful and perfect. The staff were so accommodating especially in these difficult times and helped me and supported me every step of the way. Day of I didn't have to worry about anything. Every one had a great time and ate very well. I highly recommend this venue.

Fabulous wedding venue!
I just had my at the Galt Country Club and it was just perfect! The entire planning process from start to finish was a breeze. Suzanne, the Events Coordinator was a pleasure to work with. She kept everything running smoothly on the day of our wedding and I was so grateful to have her help! All the serving staff there were fantastic. Our guests raved about how about great the night was. I would recommended The Galt Country Club to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.
