Facilities and capacity

Rooms can be configured in many ways to suit your specific needs. The Union Club’s primary venue, the Centennial Ballroom is a perfect setting for your wedding reception and other events. High ceilings, fireplaces, a grand piano and dance floor are just a taste of its charm. The Ballroom will accommodate 200 guests for a sit-down dinner or 150 for a dinner/dance.

The Reading Room on the main floor of the Club features high ceilings, fireplaces, grand piano, sofas and leather chairs in addition to a stunning view of the Inner Harbour and is available for very special events. It will accommodate up to 300 for a cocktail reception.

The Begbie Lounge holds up to 60 guests and the smaller McKenzie Lounge and McKenzie Room can be used alone or together and are perfect for smaller weddings.

The Beaux-Art Renaissance Clubhouse features some of the finest clubrooms in the country. Old world flair blended with today's conveniences - the Union Club has 22 guest rooms, including 7 suites with separate sitting rooms. Many rooms have magnificent views of Victoria's beautiful Inner Harbour. The Union Club is located in the heart of downtown Victoria, adjacent to the Inner Harbour and within walking distance to many attractions.
