Karen was a dream to work with. She made sure that no matter what we wanted it was there, she was flexible with menu options, covid restrictions, and allowing me to pick up the place settings ahead of time. She is a master in the kitchen and created some of the most amazing dishes Ive ever tried, her pricing was extremely reasonable. Our wedding cake was such a unique flavor and was absolutely perfect. You wont regret using Karen for your wedding catering, I know i will be using her for any other event i need! Thanks Karen :)

We booked a tasting after this place was recommended by our venue and were horribly disappointed by our experience. We have a few differnt dietary restrictions and vegetarians attending our wedding and were assured that accommodating this was this companies speciality. We payed $100/person for the tasting (which is absolutely over priced but we were hopeful to book them an they assured us that this price would come out of our total when/if we booked).

At the actual tasting we were served our salads, all quite yummy. We were served our mains which were luke-warm at best. I myself am a vegetarian and there was obviously some miscommunication because we were both served meat, which I gave my meat portion to my fiancé (not a huge deal because there could have been better communication on both our side in regards to this) HOWEVER, after informing the woman (who I believe was an owner) she assured me that nothing else on my plate had meat in or on it. After a few more moments of eating I was looking at my double baked potato and it had little red flakes in it. I know sometimes they have bacon so I asked her again of it had any meat in it. She assured me it did not and so I continued to eat. A few minutes later she rushed out of the kitchen and told me not to eat the potatoe as it had meat in it.....thank goodness I didn't, but COME ON. You don't even know your own menu? And if you don't that's fine but don't assure me twice that something is safe for me to eat when it isn't... just go ask the chef.

Then if all this wasn't bad enough when we asked about why our mains were served cold, she made and excuse and tossed the blame on us saying that we took too long to eat our salads and they didn't want to keep the meat under the heat warmer any longer because they meat would dry out....both my fiancé and I have worked in a kitchen and planning timing of service is a basic that is the job of the kitchen to do properly. How could we ever trust this place to cater our wedding after this experience? We couldn't. So we begrudgingly paided our $200 for our very disappointing tasting (which we were not offered any type of discount for after the several mistakes and issues on their end) and left.

If you want to any any trust or confidence in your caterer, book elsewhere!

I will never find enough words to describe how amazing Karen is. She was wonderful to work with. From the first moment I contacted her by phone I decided to hire her, even without tasting her food, because she was so sweet and caring. She really puts her heart into her work. Her food was delicious (ALL of our guests complimented it) and did everything to please my husband and I. She helped with the options for the menu and was super flexible with our wishes and changes. She was always clear that she could and would do anything we wanted. She is very responsive and never got tired of my emails. I will forever recommend her and work with her every time we need some delicious food! I was completely satisfied with everything she made. Her and her team rock!!!

Husband's note: I know my wife said it above, but I just want to say again, that everyone was complimenting how good the food was. I don't know if I have ever been to an event, that was for so many people, where the food was so good.

Soul Sugar was the perfect caterer for our wedding. Karen's food not only was DELICIOUS but she was easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. Her pies are spectacular! Would recommend Soul Sugar for any event!

Karen from Soul Sugar was incredible to work with. I only had an idea of what foods might be nice to serve at our wedding: she gave suggestions and provided a tasting to my now husband and I. Karen never got sick of my emails, and was so flexible and accommodating, up until the actual day. Her and her staff were amazing and the food was delicious! The guests loved it, and so did we. I absolutely recommend Karen and her team!

Karen was amazing to work with, responsive and answered all my questions. She even was prepared for the extra food we needed. Food was excellent and had many compliments. We didnt have any food leftover and that says a lot with my family. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

She was very easy to communicate and organize with.
