Jackie Kozak (DJ Jacster) is the Owner and primary DJ of Scaraoke Entertainment. Scaraoke covers a wide range of music genres such as top 40, rock, country, electronic, hip-hop, international, jazz, oldies, pop, reggea/reggeaton, R&B, old school, club hits, rap, and more. She is also confident in international music such as Italian, Portuguese, Persian/Iranian, Korean, Chinese, Indian, and Macedonian to name a few. Through her ongoing karaoke shows during the weeknights and weddings & banquets every weekend, she is able to stay up-to-date and current on all the latest tracks. Jackie moved to Calgary in 2003 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, and was raised in Ontario. During her first year of University, she was hired as a karaoke host and had up to three shows a week. Two years later, she bought out the company who hired her and purchased all equipment and started Scaraoke Entertainment. Now celebrating her 20 years in business since 2023, DJ Jacster operates full time (7 days a week) offering both karaoke & DJ'ing, with a team of amazing DJ's alongside her. Her best asset as an interactive DJ is being able to properly read a crowd and play exactly what they want to keep them dancing all night! Her range of events include: weddings, jack & jills, seasonal banquets, corporate & private parties, anniversaries, birthdays (both adults & children), graduations, fundraisers/charities, backyard BBQ's, and much more. Jackie is also an excellent public speaker and hires her MC skills for any events requiring a live, interactive host who is comfortable on a microphone. She is licenced and insured, and a proud member of the CPDJA (Canadian Professional Disc Jockey Association). She is also an award winner of the Business Excellence Award through the BBT (Bradford Board of Trade) for 2018, the Home Based Business Award at the 2019 BBT Gala, and the Community Award in 2022 for all her contributions as a DJ to non-profits and fundraisers.
