She made me comfortable in my skin!
Nelly is very relatable. She understands and respects your insecurities and knows how to bring out your beautiful features. She shows a lot of concern for your comfort and is committed to making sure you get exactly the look you want for your wedding day. She is flexible and adapts easily to change requests. She is open to any suggestions & give her own expert opinion (especially when you are indecisive). I appreciate how much research and work she does before, she really cares about making you look like the most beautiful bride. Her skill to work with Asian face is priceless. She is truly a creative artist and makes you feel calm (she can tell when you are stressed) She did touch ups when I told her about my teary eyes worries. She will also message you after the wedding to ask for feedback like a real professional looking to learn. Thank you, Nelly! Future brides are lucky to have you as a MUA!

Best east asian bridal makeup artist in Mtl!
I highly recommend working with Nelly C. for any east Asian bride in the Montreal area. Nelly is a professional MUA who takes the time to listen to your needs and find a look that suits you. She understands how to enhance monolids and I love that I was able to see a different look on either side of my face and choose the elements that I liked the most.
My makeup held on on a summer day and even with ++ crying, I only had the faintest of smudges underneath my eyes, which Nelly already predicted and gave me an emergency touch up kit so I could remove the smudges. My BM, mother and mother-in-law also got made up by Nelly and loved their look.
It was lovely working with Nelly and I highly recommend any future bride contact her ASAP as she is in high demand.

Nelly took the time to try different type of makeup during my trial. She spent a lot of time during the trial to really try all the different type of lip colors that would best fit my looks. I have typical asian unieyelid and she was very patient to try tapping my eyes to get a better look. I loved her 2 faces makeup where you can compare which side is better. Ex: pink blush or coral blush, 2 different foundations, 2 different eyelashes, etc. She was very professional, easy approach, nice and she knows her stuff.

I was referred to Nelly by a friend of mine who used her services for her own wedding a year before mine. She was very satisfied and highly recommended her.
Nelly usually replies within a few hours when I contact her, and she is quite flexible with her schedule. My wedding was on August 6th 2016, but I did my trial with her in January 2016.
She is extremely patient and really paid attention to my likes, dislikes, etc. during the trial, so that at the end, I was entirely happy with the result. She even followed up with me later in the evening of the trial day to ask how I felt with the make up on after many hours. She also makes good suggestions according to her experience so that my make up looked good in person and also in pictures.
She really knows her products well---she predicted that my skin will probably turn oily with a foundation used during my trial. She used another type on my wedding day, and there wasn't even a sheen after hours of dancing and sweat! I have never used fake lashes before, but she made sure they were comfortable. Her make up stayed perfect for well over 14 hours despite the August heat.
She has experience with weddings, and made suggestions for my wedding day schedule so that photographers and hairstylists have time to do all the bridesmaids and mothers. She did an excellent job on my mother and mother in law who are Chinese in their 50s who almost never wear make up. My maid of honor has mono eyelids which have always been a challenge to apply make up, but Nelly made her eyes look amazing.

Very professional MUA for weddings and special events. Nelly takes time to know about what you want and need, and advise you about what suits you best. Her make up look is personalized and definitely not generic!! I recommended her to many friends, and we only have good comments about her work, we just love her!

Bridal makeup/hair
Nelly did my makeup and hair for my wedding day and I am so happy I decided to go with her. Very professional, open to feedback and flexible even when I decided to change the hairstyle I wanted on the day of. My makeup and hair stayed perfect all night and I got constant compliments all night. I will be recommending Nelly to all my friends!
