You definitely want Side One for your wedding!
When we first started planning our New Years Eve wedding our goal was to throw an epic party that everyone would remember, so a live band was a must. We came across Side One on Wedding Wire and ... Read more started reading their reviews—all great. We then watched a few YouTube videos and were sold. Admittedly, I was a little nervous since we hadn't seen them perform live but all my doubts immediately disappeared as soon as they went on. They absolutely killed it! All of our guests, both young and old, were on the dance floor the entire night. Everyone keeps raving about how awesome the band was. The set list was spot on and they nailed all of our requests. We wanted an epic party and Side One most definitely delivered! On top of everything, the communication and accommodation by Rob & co leading up to the day was great, which cannot be overstated when you're planning a wedding. If you're looking for an awesome wedding band, do yourself a favour and book these guys! You will not be disappointed.

Side One played at our wedding in Seattle and they were AWESOME! Rob played guitar for our outdoor ceremony, which was exactly the vibe we were going for. Then we had an 8 person band for the ... Read more reception, and they were fantastic. Super talented, great energy, and really had people on the dance floor! They also did a pretty extended hora, which was amazing!! A good band was a priority for us for our wedding, so we did a lot of research on this, and Side One did not disappoint! They were also a pleasure to work with in the lead up to the wedding. Would definitely recommend!!

It's not even really a question of whether or not we'd recommend Side One for a wedding. We absolutely would but more than that, if we had friends even considering a band, we'd badger them ... Read more relentlessly until they booked Side One. There are three things that I just thought they did incredibly well. 1) The playlist. Absolutely perfect for us. I like indie, my wife loves hip-hop and our guests' tastes varied even more. The band put together an unbelievable playlist that really suited our group. 2) The performance. Wow. We thought that we might have thrown them a bit of a curve ball with a tricky first dance song and we're wondering if they'd be able to pull it off. They did. And it was perfect. But there were just so many great moments throughout the night that we never would have imagined like when the female singer (sorry- don't have your name) raps the verse in No Diggity. Amazing! 3) The energy. Our wedding wasn't a large one (about 80 people) and we were worried that we might not be able to keep the dance floor full. Not a problem at all. There wasn't a single song that felt phoned in or like the band was just going through the motions and I've never seen our friends dance like they did that night. Thank you again so much. You were one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. We wouldn't have changed a single note. Best, Jeff & Lena

Side One is a phenomenal band. They created a positive environment and the dance floor was packed from the beginning until the end. Side One was a game changer and we're trying to dream up another event... With Side One of course.
