Clive is kind, genuine and an absolute master at what he does. We are so thankful that we chose him to be our officiant. Our guests could could not stop raving about how incredible our ceremony was, largely thanks to him!

Clive was our officiant for our September wedding. He was super easy to work with and took time to get to know us. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the ceremony and how funny and well spoken he was. We highly recommend him and were so grateful to have him be part of our wedding day.

Clive was kind and flexable about timing and locations, They were hilarious and made the day rememberable for all the right reasons. Many of my family said it was the funniest wedding they had been too.

We saw great reviews and first spoke to Clive 2 years ago. In our first meeting before booking we informed him we wanted a non-denominational, short and non-traditional ceremony. He agreed to our requests even though he argued with me at our first meeting about not taking my future husbands last name; that should have been my warning to not book.

He did not write anything down and met us again a few weeks before our ceremony. We reminded him again of our wants. He was explicitly told 3 things: 1. Do not say "who gives this woman to this man" (we made it clear we are equals and I'm not property) 2. Do not mention God. 3. Do not introduce us as Mr & Mrs McLeod (as I am not taking his last name).

In this meeting he made sexist jokes about me "not liking this, or that" (the sexist parts of the ceremony)

Day of, he went against ALL 3 REQUESTS. Our friends and family, knowing our values, knew that we would be upset with the comments he was making and felt bad for us during our own ceremony.

He also talked wayyy to long, our planned for 10 min ceremony got dragged out to 35 mins.

If he was not willing to accept our requests, or to change his "speech" he should have said that in our first meeting and we would have found someone who would. He was the vendor that made us feel not seen or respected.

We had an issue with our shuttle busses and Clive was so accommodating. We had to postpone our ceremony by 2 hours and Clive didn't have a complaint about having to come back. Guests commented on how well spoken he was despite also having issues with our sound system. He reminded guests to keep phones away during the ceremony and they all seemed to listen. He also remembered to step out of the frame for our first kiss.

Since we did have to postpone our ceremony, bride & groom as well as our guests were itching to get to dinner so we were hoping for a bit of a more condensed ceremony, but at that point it had been so hectic we didn't have a chance to talk to Clive before hand.

I would describe Clive's style as upbeat yet serious.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience when choosing Clive to perform the marriage ceremony. We had an immediate good vibe from our first phone conversation, and he was always very responsive to my questions as the nerves increased closer to the ceremony. It is obvious that this is what Clive was meant to do. The ceremony was beautiful and we got many compliments Clive. He mixed the right amount of humor with sentiment.

Clive Jenkins made our wedding that much more special! I would highly recommend Clive Jenkins if you are looking for someone Who can articulate and create a special moment for that special day!
