My husband met him at a previous friends wedding. He is fun to work with, on time, and knows how to capture the perfect shots he did both our engagement and wedding photos.

We had Joel photograph our small wedding (70 guests) on our family farm. He was very easy to work with, had a great pre-wedding consultation that made all day-of work run seamlessly, and was even able to get my camera-shy mother to enjoy the experience. He well exceeded our expectations with the quality of photos we received (including the quick turn-around time), and I would whole-heartedly recommend to anyone looking for a professional, approachable and very talented photographer.

Joel was amazing: warm, kind, hilarious and easy going. He went out of his way to make everyone comfortable and to get all of the shots we wanted. We got our final pictures very quickly and they were beautiful. I almost want to get married again just so he could come and take more pictures.

Joel was an absolute DREAM to work with. He was always prompt in thorough in any of our meetings pre-wedding, and day of ... wow. He captured every moment, nailed the candids, and is an absolute ninja (I swear I didn't see him during the ceremony and yet there are tons of gorgeous pictures!!). I have been in/attended countless weddings in the past few years, and I have seen other photographers that can take away from the moment, or have pictures too staged; Joel was the opposite of that. I look through our pictures and I see us shining through. Could not be happier, I will sing his praises to anyone who asks! If you're looking to book a photographer to put you at ease and capture the best day forever - he's your only option.

From the very first time we met with Joel, we knew instantly he was the one we wanted to shoot our wedding pictures. My fiancé and I were quite nervous when we first began our search for a photographer because we knew we only had one chance to photograph our wedding day, and both of us are clueless when it comes to posing for a camera. We are also quite shy when it comes to sharing emotional moments and were nervous to have a third person present for all of our important events of the day. Once we sat down with Joel for the first time, all of these anxieties completely vanished. He was so knowledgable, professional, friendly and kind. He really tried to understand what we wanted for our special day and got to know us in the process as well!

First we had our engagement photos done and Joel suggested a beautiful location for us. We felt totally at ease and had a lot of fun during the photo shoot too! He was great about directing us and setting up the perfect shot and we ended up with a lot of beautiful pictures that we used for our wedding announcements. When our wedding day finally arrived, Joel asked us to provide him with a list of all the family groupings and pictures we wanted so we wouldn’t miss any important shots. Joel knew exactly where to take us at our venue, the Hacienda Sarria, to get the best pictures and when a little rain started to fall during our family pictures he quickly moved us all inside to a second area to finish the pictures. We ended up doing four different couples sessions during our wedding day in different locations at our venue. The finished product was incredible! We ended up with so many amazing pictures from the day that even two years later, we are still having to rotate our favourite ones and still getting compliments on them! We also received our pictures so quickly after our wedding day that we were able to share them with our families just a couple of weeks later, even though we got married in the middle of peak wedding season. We ended up with so many beautiful posed shots, candid shots, and a beautiful keepsake album we can look back on for the rest of our lives.

We could not have asked for a better experience when it came to hiring a photographer for our wedding. Joel made us feel so comfortable right from our first meeting with him and we knew he would do a wonderful job capturing all of our important moments. We cannot say enough great things about him and the amazing work that he does!
