I am a bride that was coming up from the US. I booked all of my vendors by having conference calls. The first time I spoke with Svetlana I knew she was the one I wanted to photograph my wedding. Her personality was amazing and the connection I had with her...it was like I knew her forever. Svetlana answered all of my questions professionally and was fast at responding to any emails I had sent her.
I took a special trip out there a month before the wedding to see the location and to try to meet all of my vendors. Svetlana was very flexible with her schedule and made time to meet me at the venue/restaurant. She walked around the area with me and showed me where we could take pictures. My wedding was held during the Calgary Stampede so she was open about the possibility of spectators being in my pictures.
On my wedding day, Svetlana quickly adjusted plans to accommodate some still photos at the hotel I was getting ready at (not part of the original plan). She was at the venue when I got there and from the minute I got out of the limo, Svetlana (and Sergi) were there to capture every moment. The pictures are outstanding! The love we have for each other shines through! I have no complaints about any of the pictures!
Svetlana and Sergi turned the pics around to me rather quickly. Since I live in the US, I decided to only take the digital pics which is the only thing I would change. I should have spent the money to have an album put together for me. There are so many wonderful pictures and memories captured that I don't even know where to begin with printing them out or making an album myself.
Thank you for such an amazing day! I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!!

Svetlana was incredible and worked so hard to not only capture our day, but really the essence of what we love about each other as well. She is professional, personable, extremely accommodating and took incredible images. There are also some really great natural shots of our friends and family too; which they all loved!

Svetlana Yanova was an amazing person to work with. From our first conversation on the phone to the last email I have enjoyed every interaction with her. Being from a different city than the one that I got married in, I was nervous at first to trust someone whom I'd have little contact with. However, on our wedding day Svetlana put all my worries aside.

Svetlana was with us for most of the day, taking pictures before the ceremony, during, and for part of the reception. She got along famously with everyone she met include the whole bridal party. Because of this, everyone felt at ease around her and she was able to take some amazingly candid shots. She also has an incredible talent for detecting beautiful backdrops with the perfect lighting. After the wedding all of our photos were delivered in a timely manner and I couldn't be more pleased with them.

We had to fiddle with the budget in order to afford her services, but the two things you don't want to cheap out on for a wedding is food and photography. Those are the two elements you'll remember forever. Svetlana was very flexible and worked with us to make a photography package that fit just right for us. She was also flexible when it came time to paying her fees, and that flexibility was invaluable throughout the wedding planning process. We first hired Svetlana for our engagement photos. You know how we ladies all talk to ourselves...in our heads. that we aren't beautiful enough or too this or that.
