In the interest of full disclosure, I'd like to state that while I've happily referred many clients to Lesley in the time that I've known her, I will admit that this review was requested due to the slanderous writings of a previous poster. I've happily given her many references in the past, and will obviously continue to do so, however this is the first time I've written one online.
I worked with Lesley for my wedding in September 2010, and found her to be incredible. To this date, she remains a close friend of mine. I'd have rated her far higher on value if I could, as she went above and beyond to not only source design items, but saved me the delivery/pickup charges of such.
She was incredibly flexible, and I was able to happily put my trust in her to make the call as to whether or not my wedding would be indoors or outdoors while I was in another city (Banff, approximately 130km away) getting ready and having pictures done. She made sure I got my beautiful outdoor wedding, and since it was raining on and off all day, I can only imagine what a time she had keeping the chairs dry, but it was so appreciated.
I didn't have to stress about the details that she was taking care of, and her staff was absolutely amazing to work with. As an event professional myself, I appreciate the dedication she shows to her clients. While her business is yes, occasionally staffed by family members, so are many event companies, and Lesleys staff - be they family, friend, hired contractor, are all at the very top of their game. Every one of them knew every stage and step of my wedding set up as well as she did, so there was no confusion when I had a question, no matter who I asked.
I requested a lighting installation at my Heritage Park venue, and Lesley was able to make sure that it was safe, beautiful, and stable, even with the HUGE restrictions placed by the venue (no tacks, tape, sticky tack, pipe and drape, etc etc etc).
This industry is hard because it is so imbued with emotions and the day being put on such an impossible pedestal, not to mention the fact that if you do it right, theres really no possibility for repeat business. However, for all my hopes and dreams about my wedding day, Lesley and her team carried them off beautifully, and if I were to renew my vows tomorrow, you can bet she would be the first person I called.
